Blurred
In 2024 we reached a stage of growth where we were able to re-launch our programme, extending the duration and with a view to permanent talent acquisition. We believe that our industry has a problem with representation and providing accessible opportunities for those from disadvantaged groups, and we’re determined to be part of the solution. Social mobility is a key element of our overarching DEI strategy, so our internships are advertised as both real-world and virtual to remove geographical restrictions/costs that can be a barrier for people starting their careers. We also seek to attract a diverse pool of candidates; in 2024 46% of all internship applicants were from ethnic minority backgrounds. In February we launched our first six-monthly internship programme, recruiting two candidates who both went on to secure permanent Junior Consultant roles. Beyond the revamped internship programme, we’re always working on ways to support entry-level candidates – particularly those from disadvantaged groups. We support ‘The Xec’ and ‘Socially Mobile’; we’ve worked with Joined Up Thinking (a NEETs charity) and Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets offering shorter monthly placements, and our support has always extended beyond the actual internship. All interns since we launched, have lifetime access to our fortnightly training programme, even if they go on to work for a competitor.
