Daniel Gilbert

Daniel is an experienced agency leader, communications strategist and political adviser. He is currently a Partner at Shearwater Global, where he advises clients in highly-regulated sectors. 

He was previously Group Managing Director, an for Advocacy at Hanover Communications, where he built a 30-strong agency team through Brexit and the pandemic. And is a former Special Adviser in the UK's Department for Business, Innovation & Skills‚ where he introduced once-in-a-generation reforms to higher education and innovation. He is a proud industry mentor and is passionate about helping people access careers in politics and communications.
