Ebony Gayle is an author, speaker, and independent accredited creative cross-communications strategist and coach. With 20 years experience of in devising, advising, and implementing impactful PR and marketing communication strategies and campaign activations for clients. She has worked across a variety of industries including, new start-ups, fintech, health and wellbeing, entertainment, and consumer lifestyle. Ebony previously worked in-house where she headed up a comms team, before starting her own business and founded Ebony Gayle Communications working as an independent consultant with clients in the UK and abroad. Ebony was the first black woman to be appointed to the Women in PR UK board, and the co-founder of the CIPR's independent Network for freelance PR and communication professionals. Ebony is passionate about entrepreneurship, wellbeing, and DEI. She is the host of the 9to5workrebels podcast. which features the popular 'Gems in Comms' series special that spotlights and explores the lived experiences of non-white senior professionals working in UK PR and communications industry. Ebony is the author of the no-nonsense self-help guide 'How to become a consultant: a guide to free yourself from the 9-5.' She is also the founder of the platform 9to5workrebels.com, which helps empower unhappy professionals to follow their passion.
