Blurred

Blurred is a B Corporation with a 120 scoring (pass mark is 80).

We produce an annual Impact Report, that covers ‘sustainability’ in its broadest sense – considering ‘people’ alongside ‘planet’ as there is no environmental challenge that can be solved without also addressing social inequalities. And vice-versa. Overwhelmingly our primary emissions relate to energy/travel. As well as monitoring office energy consumption, we consider employees’ home energy usage as our office is closed Mondays and Fridays. For four years we’ve had a policy paying the financial difference to team members switching to home renewables. We take very few business flights – zero in 2024 – despite having global clients and an international team. As part of our supply chain procurement process, we share our ‘people’- and ‘planet’-related policies and review those of potential partners. As a small company we can control this tightly, opting to only work with businesses who are aligned and local businesses where possible. We’re incredibly proud of our B Corp score but as a small business, contextually, our physical impact is minuscule. However, via our client work we are materially, positively impacting the world. We help clients identify and mitigate material environmental/societal risks (sustainability/management consulting) and then develop narratives/campaigns for all stakeholders to explain the benefit from those actions (communications consulting). We’re unafraid of difficult conversations, using data-driven insights to persuade Fortune 500/FTSE100 companies into action. And when you push corporate giants even ¼%, the impact is huge. We’ve turned down 60+ briefs because of superficiality/greenwashing.
