Gabi’s journey to PR came from a love of communication, her continual drive to hone relationships and storytelling. Joining the London Eye first as a maternity cover in March 2023, she has been at the forefront of key PR cultural moments like the King’s Coronation, New Year’s Eve Fireworks, permanent planning permission granted and running a calendar of community light-ups. She has set a mission to put the eye-con back into the London Eye since joining and has actioned this by focusing on campaigns that put the London Eye in good company, and building credibility through collaborations with equally iconic brands, IPs and personalities. She led on activations with Warner Bros' Barbie Movie, BBC’s Doctor Who and Disney’s Star Wars May the 4th celebrations. And whilst Gabi’s PR career started in lifestyle retail PR, working as PR Manager at both Oliver Bonas and MADE.com, she continues to champion creativity and consumer engagement. A key example was transforming one of the pods into the Sky Candy Emporium, a sky-high sweet shop. Her experience in this sector, has helped shape her drive to change the overarching PR strategy for the Eye to be more intrinsically data driven, displayed in a coverage increase of 140% in 2023 and an OTS of over 4.3B in Jan-Oct 2024. Being the daughter and granddaughter of black cabbies, not only is she proud to be a Londoner, but this ignites her passion and determination for the Eye to be the symbol of London.
