The Jargon Group
Each year, interns join as Junior Account Executives and are fully integrated into client teams within weeks. They gain hands-on experience across writing, media relations, research, events and client communications, supporting multiple accounts and contributing directly to campaigns, coverage and new business activity. Our philosophy is deliberately broad: interns are not confined to narrow specialisms, but leave with strong commercial awareness and a diverse skill set that prepares them for long-term careers in PR.
The programme delivers clear organisational impact. Interns bring fresh perspectives, digital fluency and innovation, influencing campaign creativity, improving processes and supporting the adoption of new technologies, including AI-assisted research and content development. Retention is a key success measure, with over a third of interns returning as permanent employees, strengthening succession planning and reducing recruitment costs.
The impact on interns is equally strong. More than 20 students have completed placement years, with every participant progressing into the communications industry. Alumni now hold senior roles in agencies, in-house teams and entrepreneurial ventures, often paying forward their experience by supporting the next generation of PR talent.
